Overdrive is an eight-piece band with a tight and incredibly funky rhythm section as the driving force behind a killer four-piece horn section that features two trumpets, woodwinds, and trombone.

Fred Turner played in over a dozen bands in and around Winnipeg during his early adult years, his first vocal recordings being with the group Pink Plumm, which released one independent single titled "Along Came Pride". Based upon advice Randy Bachman received from Neil Young, Turner was subsequently asked to join Randy's band Brave Belt in 1971. OVERDRIVE was an Italian band that was formed in Milan in 1985, at first consisting of Domenico Del Signore (keyboards), Joe Torelli (drums), Mauro Caputi (bass, vocals) and Jimmy A. (guitars).
